Holden Barina

The Barina range includes 3-door and 5-door hatchbacks and a four-door sedan. Barina represents exceptional value for money, boasting a 1.6 litre powertrain and dynamic styling, highlighted by a strong Euro-styled front fascia and rear end treatments. The interior is punctuated by a  contemporary instrument panel and console and trendy fabric trim.

All Barina models including the the 4-door sedan receive driver, front passenger and side impact airbags as standard. The 3-door hatchback has a four star ANCAP crash rating.

Barina 3-door and 5-door hatchback's design is reflected in the strong signature radiator grille flanked by large curved and jewelled headlamps. Dynamic detailing includes sporty contours which flow from the bonnet to the A-pillar with prominent shoulder lines, rear roof spoiler and a rear bumper fascia surmounted by clear round tail lamps.

Barina hatch models also get a cleverly packaged interior characterised by the new instrument panel which features a matt chrome-trimmed four-circle instrument cluster. Air vents on the centre console repeat the circular theme and the fully integrated audio unit is mp3 compatible. Heating and air-conditioning controls are large and user-friendly.

The range has side impact airbags for driver and front passenger, which extend upwards to provide head as well as thorax protection and complement the driver and front passenger airbags already standard.

Barina is powered by a 1.6 litre DOHC multi-point fuel injected engine that produces 76kW of peak power at 5800rpm and develops peak torque of 145Nm at 3600rpm#.

Ventilated front disc brakes are standard and alloy wheels and four-channel ABS braking system are available in an option pack.
