Holden Captiva LTZ

Holden will strengthen its popular Captiva SUV range by adding a top-spec Captiva 5 LTZ and a new generation six-speed automatic transmission across both Captiva 5 and seven-seat Captiva 7 models.

The upgraded model year 2013 Captiva range introduces the LTZ Captiva 5, packed full of extras including leather-appointed interior trim, heated front seats, eight-way electric adjustable driver's seat, 19-inch alloy wheels and rain-sensing wipers.

Captiva 5 LTZ will be available with two powertrain combinations – a 2.4 litre four-cylinder petrol engine and 2.2 litre turbo diesel.  Both models are equipped with Holden's new Gen II six-speed automatic transmission, while Holden's entry level Captiva 5 will be re-badged LT.

The revised Captiva range offers two new exterior paint colours – Snowflake Pearl and Sandy Beach, and a new final drive ratio on all diesel models delivers improved drive quality.

Holden Executive Director of Sales and Marketing Philip Brook said the upgrades would further increase Captiva's widespread appeal.

"SUV buyer expectations are changing.  More and more customers are looking for a richer equipment list and expect their SUV to have all the convenience features normally reserved for more premium models," he said.

"We've added a whole new LTZ trim level complete with rain-sensing wipers, leather interior trim, 19-inch alloy wheels and heated front seats to Captiva 5, which our customers already tell us is stunning value.

"Along with drive quality improvements from our new generation auto transmission and diesel final drive ratio, the upgrades give us a great opportunity to increase Holden's presence in the booming SUV market, particularly at the smaller end of the market."
