MANSORY Ferrari 458 Spider

The refining of super sports cars is more than just a business for MANSORY. The love of detail, and of the special and unique are the driving force for extraordinary customisations. The latest stroke of genius from the firm has demonstrated this
powerfully once more. The MANSORY Monaco Edition which is limited to just 3 vehicles of the Ferrari 458 Spider doesn't just make the pulses of convertible fans beat faster. Alongside more power and a much improved look the team of firm owner Kourosh Mansory has especially optimised the vehicle's weight.

Already in the serial version of the Ferrari Spider the ultralight and high-strength material carbon finds abundant uses. And MANSORY has consistently used this in his Monaco Edition as a main part of all his bodywork components. Every  single element of the aerodynamic design is made in perfect surface quality and precisely built into the vehicle.

An eye-catching new feature of the newly styled Ferrari front is the striking skirt with the optimised air intakes for improved ventilation of the front radiator. In combination with the new bonnet MANSORY not only achieved an aggressive look but also generated additional drive. Newly designed side sills have been added. These steady the air flow between the axles and feed additional cooling air into the engine compartment through integrated routing channels. The diffuser built into the new rear skirt stabilises the back at high speeds and creates downforce together with the serial rear wing on the rear axle. Overall the refining specialist achieves a weight saving of around 60 kilograms compared to a standard Ferrari 458 Spider by carbon components specially heated in their own autoclave.

But the MANSORY convertible does not impress only with its fascinating design. As a result of an optimised engine management, a sports air filter and a sports exhaust system engine performance as well as acceleration both improve  significantly. Thanks to 590 hp / 434 kW and 560 Nm the eight-cylinder accelerates from zero to one hundred (km/h) in a breathtaking 3.2 seconds. The top speed is 330 km/h which is also higher than the base vehicle.

Specially suited for the improved engine performance as well as sporty driving are the chassis components built into the MANSORY two-seater. These are made up of four sports shock absorbers in a unit with progressively wound lowering springs. In this way the vehicle's centre of gravity is dropped by 20 mm in comparison with the series models.

As the perfect wheel-tyre combination MANSORY has built forged rims with central locking in 9 x 11 and 11 x 21 dimensions with Michelin PS2 tyres in the VA 245/35, ZR20 and HA 305/30 ZR21 sizes.

Also the interior has profited from the MANSORY refining. The MANSORY upholsterer has effectively combined the finest materials such as finest leather, Alcantara and carbon fibre in Monaco's colours of red and white.

The leather work of the master craftsmen is particularly durable yet still extraordinarily soft. This characteristic natural product with its graining and the perfect hand stitching gives an air of extravagant flair all around the newly designed middle console. A further highlight is the newly designed full size airbag sports steering wheel as well as the aluminium pedals. MANSORY has achieved the perfect symbiosis of sporty functionality and luxurious ambience.
