Fiat Idea

The Fiat Idea is a mini MPV built by the Italian manufacturer Fiat since 2004. The car is based on the Punto's frame and shares all its engines.

The Idea is noted for its versatile interior, which includes sliding and folding rear seats, making the best possible usage of a body under 4 metres in length. The Idea's height, coupled with narrow width and narrow tracks, gives the car a high centre of gravity and, consequently, poorer handling when compared to competitors Opel Meriva and Renault Modus.

Engines

The Fiat Idea engines are all Euro 4 compliant. The petrol engine is the 1.4 L 16 valve 95bhp, available with in 5- and 6-speed gearboxes, and the diesel 1.3 L 16 valve MultiJet units, with 70 bhp or 90 bhp. All of these engines can be matched with the Dualogic robotised manual gearbox.

Lancia Musa

The Lancia Musa is a rebadged version of the Fiat Idea, sold by Lancia. The car shares virtually every component with the Idea, and is differentiated by the typical Lancia triangular chromed grille, deluxe trimmings and extra kit. The Musa relies only on the more powerful engines, as well as the option of the Dualogic gearbox.
