It's time again: The seventh generation of the Golf GTI has arrived on the scene to defend its reputation as best in class of the class it created. And as 40 years ago the GTI pilots look to Friedrichsdorf in Hessen with bated breath and full of expectation: Here is the original GTI received more power and status with the legendary OETTINGER 16-Valve engine. Since then the OETTINGER engineers have traditionally invested passion and enthusiasm and set the standard along for skilful enhancement at the highest level and an excellent balance between sportiness and style with every new model that has come.
Pure suspense - from Tip to tail, that is how the new edition of the OETTINGER Golf GTI presents itself. Slick embellishment of the sportingly dynamic features is impressively achieved with the OETTINGER aerodynamic package which consists of front spoiler with separate splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear roof spoiler. In addition to the sonorous exhaust system with twin tailpipes either side, the strikingly designed roof spoiler with open R-Flaps provides a professional motorsport appearance.
Also owners of the Golf GTD range can get excited: the complete OETTINGER aerodynamic package will also fit their vehicles. As one has come to expect from OETTINGER, diverse body parts are manufactured from high quality RIM in OEM quality. The complete package will be available from August this year for 1 990.00 Euro.
A further highlight, which will also be available from August, is the OETTINGER spoke sports wheel in the stylish finishes "Black Redline" or "Black Silverline". All OETTINGER sports wheels are manufactured to the highest quality in Germany using state of the art laser technology. This gives the "Black Redline" version an eye catching appearance with fine and precise red highlights which closely match the red trim of the series GTI model. Specially conceived for the Golf GTI and GTD, the new 8.5 x19 OETTINGER sports wheel with 50mm offset is also suitable for all other standard fast Golf sevens. (RRP 475 Euro each)
OETTINGER will offer an explicitly motorsport orientated accessory programme for the GTI, including engine enhancements for up to 350 HP (DIN) and more, sports exhausts, adjustable suspensions, intercoolers, air intakes with sport filters, limited slip differentials, uprated clutches and brakes etc. A particular highlight which will be available towards the end of 2013 will be the new ultra lightweight OETTINGER 10 spoke sports rim; although developed especially for competition applications will also be certified for use on road vehicles. Particularly those drivers with sporting ambitions will appreciate the functional engineering which OETTINGER will offer for the Golf VII.
