ABT VW e-Caddy

The first all-electric ABT e-Caddys, with long-wheelbase, can be ordered from the end of November 2019 at selected Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Dealers and ABT e-Line partners and are expected to be available to customers as leasing vehicles in the first quarter of 2020.

ABT e-Line, the premium partner of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, is responsible for the "electrification". The company installs the electric motor, the electronics and the underfloor battery in the supplied basic vehicles in such a way to maintain the flexibility of the interior: Thus the Panel van version of the electric Caddy also has a load capacity of up to 4.2 cubic metres. The vehicle has a battery capacity of 37.3 kWh and is driven by a 200 Nm, high-torque electric motor with 83 kW of power.

Battery range up to 159 kilometres according to WLTP

In addition to the panel van version, the ABT e-Caddy is also available as a window panel van (kombi) and as a passenger car with Trendline specification. ABT e-Line electrified vehicles are designed to deliver a top speed of 90 km/h, or optionally up to 120 km/h. The combined range is a maximum of 159 km on one battery charge (up to 167 km in city traffic) according to WLTP. The battery is fully recharged with AC power via a 7.2-kW wallbox in around five hours, or can be charged to 80 percent capacity at a 50 kW quick charging station (CCS) in around 50 minutes.
